The Donor Plus Card
All the benefits of a Classic Library Card plus . . .
- A unique library card featuring the Pittsburgh skyline designed by graffiti artist Ramon Treviño.
- Invitations to attend special events that highlight the services, history and impact of Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
- Subscription to the Library's New and Featured monthly e-newsletter containing information on events and programs at CLP - Main.
- Subscription to CLP Staff Picks e-newsletter featuring the Library's monthly collection spotlight and reading suggestions from Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's team of librarians.
- A 20% discount at the more than 25 area Crazy Mocha Coffee Company locations including CLP - Main.
- Home delivery of the New Chapter newsletter featuring Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh news, events and happenings.
- Advance notice of your Donor Plus Card expiration.
Donor Plus card donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law and help Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh offset increasing operating costs. Individual and family accounts are available. An individual account is available for a contribution of $30 and family account is $50.
To apply for the Donor Plus Card, you can print out and complete a paper application (PDF Format) and return it to any Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh location.
Please provide current photo identification with proof of address at the time you submit your application. Children are encouraged to have their own library cards, but the signature of a parent or guardian is required for children 17 years of age and younger.
With either the Classic Library card or the Donor Plus card, you can:
- Borrow books, DVDs, CDs and other library materials from any of Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's 19 locations and any member library of the Allegheny County Library Association.
- Return library materials to any Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh or Allegheny County public library location.
- Search online databases and downloadable media from your home, office or school.
- Check your library account online from home or office.
- Reserve library materials and have them delivered to a library near you.
- Access the Internet at any library location.
- Renew library materials on the phone or online.
- Access unique collections including rare and historic books and photographs.
- Call or email one of our friendly librarians for answers to your questions.
The Pittsburgh cityscapes featured on some of the Donor Plus materials were commissioned from artist Ramon Treviño in conjunction with Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's Teen program. Additional artwork, as well as background on the artist, is available on the Library's Teen Web site at www.carnegielibrary.org/teens.
