How to Enable JavaScript

Enabling Javascript on your browser will allow you to experience the full capabilities of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Web site. To enable JavaScript select your browser type from the options below and follow the instructions.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options and then click the Security tab.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Click the Custom level button at the bottom right.
  4. In the Security Settings menu scroll down to Active Scripting and select Enable.
  5. Click OK twice and refresh the page to run scripts.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. Click the Content tab
  3. Select the Enable JavaScript check box.
  4. Click OK and refresh the page to run scripts.

Safari

  1. On the Safari menu, select Preferences.
  2. Click Security.
  3. Select both the Enable Java and Enable Javascript check boxes.
  4. Click OK and refresh the page to run scripts.

Opera

  1. On the Tools menu, click Preferences.
  2. On the Advanced tab, click Content.
  3. Select the Enable JavaScript check box.
  4. Click OK and reload the page to run scripts.

Netscape

  1. On the Edit menu, click Preferences, and then click Advanced.
  2. Select the Enable JavaScript option.
  3. Click OK and refresh the page to run scripts.
